Mito – Sangiovese Grosso · Vigna Lepri

Mito

Sangiovese Grosso · Vigna Lepri

Our purest expression of Sangiovese. A further selection of the finest Sangiovese Grosso bunches from Vigna delle Lepri; almost ten years of waiting in French oak, then concrete, then bottle. Complex, deep, intense without opulence. Since 1996 it has worn the label that Dario Fo created and dedicated to this wine.

Ten years of silence. Then it speaks.
At the table
  • Feathered or furred game in salmì
  • Romagnola PGI rib steak on the grill
  • Parmigiano Reggiano aged 36 months and more

Deep, intense without opulence: slow dishes with character, for a wine that has waited ten years.

The cru
Vigna delle Lepri — Planted in 1963 with Sangiovese Grosso, thanks to the friendship with Franco Biondi Santi; its vines are over sixty years old.
