The Icons

What the land is still teaching us.

The Icons are our synthesis: what we have learned, and are still learning, about terroir and the native varieties we look after. Rare bottles, born of exceptional vineyards and bold choices. Alba, Hemera and Vesper are Albana in the three lights of the day: first light, full sun, sunset. Orbite and Mito seek Sangiovese in its purest form. Barbarossa carries the grape that exists only here.

They do not ask to be described, but to be met.

Alba Noir

Albana

The Albana of awakening. Taut, vibrant, aromatic at heart: yellow peach, passion fruit, lime and bergamot, fresh sage, a flinty minerality that recalls the dew of early morning. The first glass of the day.

Hemera Noir

Albana

The Albana of full daylight. Dense and structured, soft yet crisp: orange and mandarin peel, acacia, linden, a touch of sweet spice from a measured share of noble rot. The hour when every element finds its balance.

Vesper Noir

Albana Muffato · Vigna Viale

The Albana of evening, in its most complete and wise form. Sweet on entry, then minerality and fresh citrus burst in: apricot, blood orange, acacia honey, saffron, beeswax. The wine of sunset, of light slowly fading.

Orbite

Sangiovese Riserva

Orbite is a direct interpretation of Sangiovese Riserva, conceived to speak to generations in search of depth and authenticity. It comes from the same vineyards, and the same multi-pass hand selection, as Vigna delle Lepri, one of Fattoria Paradiso's flagship labels. The difference also takes shape in the cellar, during aging: from 500-liter French tonneaux and 2,700-liter casks, the finest expressions are selected for Orbite, those showing the greatest harmony between elegance, aromatic finesse and a structure built for aging.

Mito

Sangiovese Grosso · Vigna Lepri

Our purest expression of Sangiovese. A further selection of the finest Sangiovese Grosso bunches from Vigna delle Lepri; almost ten years of waiting in French oak, then concrete, then bottle. Complex, deep, intense without opulence. Since 1996 it has worn the label that Dario Fo created and dedicated to this wine.

Barbarossa Vigna Dosso

Barbarossa

The grape that exists only here, found by Mario Pezzi in 1954 and studied by Professor Calò. It bears the name of Frederick Barbarossa, who conquered the fortress of Bertinoro in the twelfth century. On blue clay it speaks with a warm voice: sour cherry, wild blackberry, anise, ginger, pink pepper. Fine, juicy, mineral; it evolves in bottle for decades.
