Time

Time is the rarest material we have.

Barrel cellar with French oak casks

The grapes ferment slowly, with yeasts born in the vineyard. In its first winter the wine rests in concrete and terracotta; the Riservas wait years before release, Mito almost ten.

In 1979 five thousand bottles of Vigna delle Lepri were sealed in an ice house: they came back to light on 9 June 1985. Our archive holds the vintages since 1950.

Along the way we were accompanied by masters such as Giacomo Tachis and Carlo Ferrini. The style, however, has stayed in the family.
